What we mean by health data

The lab values you approve, any medications or conditions you choose to note, the allergies you declare for yourself or your household, your health goals, and the food priorities Plate works out from them.

Where it comes from

From you. We don't buy health data or collect it from anyone else.

Why we collect it

To build your dinner plans, check recipes and menu picks against your allergies, answer your questions in the chat, and show your numbers next to what you cooked.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that run Plate for us, and only what each one needs. Cloudflare stores it, Clerk signs you in, and Anthropic's AI reads the part it needs when you use the chat, Made to Order, a shopping-list swap, a Cook With Me recipe change or Order Well. We never sell it.

Your consent

We ask before we read a lab file. We'll ask separately before sharing your health data for any purpose beyond running Plate for you. You can take back either permission at any time.

Your rights

You can see what we hold, get a copy, have it deleted, take back your consent, and see the list of companies we've shared it with. If we turn a request down, you can appeal. Email hello@plateprotocol.com.
