Your health data privacy is paramount

Read in your browser first
We never store your lab report file itself. Your browser reads the numbers out of it, and only the values you approve are saved to your account. If your browser can't read the file, you can opt into our secure reader: it takes the file, pulls out the values, and keeps neither. If that read fails, we keep a short technical note so we can fix it: the error, how big the file was, how much text came out, and which browser you were using. Never the file, its name, or anything written in it.

You approve every value
Nothing saves until you review each parsed number and confirm it's right.

Encrypted
Anything you save is stored encrypted, at rest and in transit, inside your private account.

Never sold or shared
Your health data isn't for sale, and we don't share it with advertisers or brokers.

Delete anytime
Email us and we will delete your account and everything in it, and confirm back to you when it is done. During early access we do this by hand rather than with a button, usually within a few days. Our host's server logs and database restore points expire on their own within seven days.
What we collect here
Just the email address you choose to share when you join the waitlist. That is everything this site collects. This site sets no advertising trackers and runs no analytics that identify you.
What we do with it
We email you about Plate Protocol early access. No newsletters you didn't sign up for, no renting your address out. Emails go through Kit, our email provider, which only processes your address to send on our behalf.
Leaving is easy
Every email has an unsubscribe link that works right away. Want your address deleted entirely? Write to hello@plateprotocol.com.
The few companies that help us run this
A few companies help us run this: Clerk signs you in, Cloudflare hosts the app and the database, Anthropic's AI answers your questions in the chat, and Kit sends the waitlist email. There are no ad pixels, no third-party trackers, and no analytics scripts.
If you use Order Well, your menu photo goes to our AI provider so the dishes can be read off it, and any allergies you have declared are matched against them. The photo is not stored.
What this product is, and is not
Plate Protocol is a wellness and education product. We are not a medical service, and we are not covered by HIPAA the way your doctor's office is.
About the product itself
Inside Plate Protocol there is a fuller privacy statement covering your lab values, your household profiles, the chat, and the restaurant-menu feature. It is written to match how the product works today, and a formal policy reviewed by privacy counsel will replace both before we charge anyone.
