Terms of Service
Last updated July 30, 2026
1. What the service is
Plate Protocol turns your goals and, optionally, your lab results into meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, guided cooking, and biomarker tracking, with recommendations tied to published research.
2. Not medical advice
This is the important one. Plate Protocol is for education and meal planning only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it does not promise health outcomes. It is not a substitute for professional medical or nutritional advice. Always talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian before making changes based on your labs, and never disregard professional advice because of something in the app. Decisions about supplements and medications belong with your clinician.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 to use Plate Protocol.
4. Your account
Keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@plateprotocol.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
5. Your content and data
You keep ownership of what you provide. You grant us the limited permission needed to operate the service for you (for example, to generate your plans and save your approved values). How we handle your data is covered in the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Use Plate Protocol for your own personal, non-commercial meal planning. Don't misuse the service, attempt to break or scrape it, upload others' data without their permission, or use it to provide medical advice to others.
7. Payments
[PLACEHOLDER, COUNSEL REQUIRED BEFORE ANY CHARGE. Paid plans are billed through Stripe on the cycle shown at checkout. Renewal, cancellation, and refund terms to be finalized with counsel.]
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is." We work hard to make the recommendations accurate and well-sourced, but we don't warrant that they're error-free or right for every individual. Nutrition science evolves, and individual needs vary.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Plate Protocol and its owner are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the [PRIOR PERIOD, COUNSEL TO FINALIZE].
10. Changes
We may update these terms and will post the new version with a new date. Continued use means you accept the changes.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [VENUE, CONFIRM WITH COUNSEL.]
